Photo A Day

I felt like a needed a journal type of thing to get out some stuff and maybe when I get a working camera start doing a photo-a-day.

  • First cold fall day, you can feel winter closing in.  I don’t mind though, I’m ready for the snow.  Came home and felt like making something absolutely delicious so I decided to create a soup that combined homemade curry spices, sriracha, garlic, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, and butternut squash.  It’s a wonderful thing.

  • Was at Fall Brawl at the Ottobar all night last night.  Had an awesome time, unfortunately I’ve realized that I’m kind of lame in the way that I was exhausted by around 1 am after the show was over.  I went with my room mate and my friend who just moved up here from Virginia, both great girls.  My girl’s friend from back home made the trip up from Lynchburg, VA to come out to the show too.  It ended up being an all around killer night with great sing alongs, great dancing, and wonderful people.

  • We went to this place about an hour away that is this ancient abandoned monastery.  There was a lake and woods all around it.  It made me laugh because we were walking around and it reminded me of Monty Python because it looks like the woods in the movie and my friend started to sing the song about Sir Robin.

  • This is me in Galway.  We went biking around an island off the coast and everyone there has tiny houses with lots of land and cows, goats, sheep or horses.  I have more pictures, but unfortunately, as I was uploading the pictures to the computer, my camera ran out of battery. :(

  • So there’s a bit of a story behind this….one of my favorite plays is by the author Oscar Wilde and he is from Dublin.  This a statue of him in a public park and we decided to that we wanted to take dirty pictures because he had a silly look on his face.  Your dad has more appropriate pictures of him.  The other one is from a park where we went to see a Shakespeare play and there is a couple in the background all cuddled up in the grass which seems to be a big thing here because there were cozied up couples all over our campus fields too.
